Breeding and showing dogs is not for the faint of heart. It is not just about winning; it is about spending time with the animals we love, their trust in us that we make the right choices on their behalf, and the love between human and their best friend. It is also about making friendships that last a lifetime.
Much of the joy in our lives is attributed to the boundless energetic love of our dogs. We began our journey with Australian Shepherds in 1989 and have been enamored ever since. We are currently working with our seventh generation of homebred Champions and performance dogs. Stone Ridge is a journey of four generations of women dedicated to the sport of purebred dogs bonded by the love of competing with this great breed.

Our Dogs Talents
We dedicate a substantial amount of time evaluating our dogs to pair them with their future homes. We want each home to be happy with the dog they receive and for each dog to thrive in their environment. First and foremost, our dogs excel at their primary job of being an excellent family companion, as well as, being very competitive in versatility, conformation, herding, obedience, rally, therapy, tracking, agility, FCAT, dock jumping, and nose work.
Potential Homes
We strive to place all of our dogs in responsible, loving homes that are dedicated to the well-being of their new family member. Placing a puppy or adult is taken extremely serious and only approved homes are eligible. We thoroughly screen each home to assure only the best are selected. Please note: We DO NOT sell breeding animals. Our puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts ONLY.
Giving Back to Our Breed
We are strong supports of Australian Shepherd health and genetic research. For several years Cherrie Cannon donated her time to the Australian Shepherd Health and Genetic Institute as the National Specialty Raffle Chairman. Her hard work and dedication generated over $70,000, which was donated to several cancer and epilepsy research projects.
